Matrix Responds to Covid-19
Welcome to level 6 of Jumanji 2020. The team at Matrix hope you are all well and safe. The last 8-12 weeks have truly been surreal. With state governments starting to bring schools back, and people returning to work, we thought we would take the opportunity to reach out to our traffic and transport community.
Matrix has made the conscious decision to retain all staff during the Covid 19 Crisis. Sometimes company analysis can see employees as a statistic or monetary value; however we have taken the opposite approach and bonded together to get through the crisis as a team. The team of 85 permanent staff at Matrix has grown the company from a standing start, into the largest traffic survey company in Australia and New Zealand. We have grown together as a business, delivering quality traffic and transport data and we intend to continue preserving these foundations and values throughout the COVID challenges and beyond.
We are cognisant that most jobs were postponed, and that when schools return, traffic data would be needed. We have received multiple queries within our industry asking for advice regarding current traffic conditions and whether volumes are beginning to increase to the ‘new normal’. It is apparent to us that many clients are asking the same question and we are undertaking a number a surveys across Australia to ascertain progressive traffic conditions. Our CEO Marty Prowse has started to publish the results on his linkedin page, and we are also making the data available on our downloads page. It is our intention to share this information with the traffic industry to facilitate informed decisions whether the time is right to proceed with any postponed surveys. Whenever that time may be, we will be ready, and we are here to support our clients through this.
Further to this, if you have any questions, or want to discuss anything with our knowledgeable team, get in contact.
We hope that you and your family and friends are well. This crisis has shown that health of our family (both our home and work families) gazumps the economy and has certainly reaffirmed the appreciation of what we have, and the importance of people in our lives.
