E Scooters Vs. Helmets

I am a huge E Scooter fan an advocate. However, we obviously have a problem in Brisbane with helmet usage.

This survey was done in the AM peak heading to the city. The Lime Scooter count for the 2 hours was relatively low (around 30).

It could reflect a desire not to wear helmets on new Lime Scooter users, or a logistics issue with the provision of helmets.

No matter your opinion on helmet use, they are here to stay in Australia and new transport modes must adapt. The law will not change.

We also count normal bicycles and helmet use as a control. 2% of bicycle riders did not where a helmet, compare with 73% of Lime Scooter users.

We will go back in a month and see if there are any changes.
